In the past taking over brick and mortar buildings in the capitol would mean something,

But in todays world with all information being so digital, and taxes being filed and paid with software through banks, rather than through mail.

What significance would taking over the capital really have? It seems like all Russia needs to do is be the one in an area with the most guns and say they are in charge. The media is putting a ton of focus on the capital. Why is that city so important?

Once the government in Kiev is gone and once the bulk of their military in eastern Ukraine is surrounded then it's over. Zelensky will be in exile (if he isn't already) and the media will keep reporting on him as the rightful leader and spin the usual jewish victim narrative long after Russia sets up a new government.

Ultimately we know when Russia wins when the narrative shifts to victimhood from all this false bravado.
