In the past taking over brick and mortar buildings in the capitol would mean something,

But in todays world with all information being so digital, and taxes being filed and paid with software through banks, rather than through mail.

What significance would taking over the capital really have? It seems like all Russia needs to do is be the one in an area with the most guns and say they are in charge. The media is putting a ton of focus on the capital. Why is that city so important?

Trust in the currency as well.

Some leaders like Erdogan don't care about the value of their own currency because they are self sustainable, meaning thst they essentially simply import shit because it cuts costs, not because they need shit.

When you have energy, natural gas, minerals and your own war industry.. Why would you even care about what the world thinks of your currency?

I live in the UK and can't afford to buy shit anyways.

Are you happy to pay 20 gbp for a burger? Are you happy to pay 200 gbp for plastic shoes? Are you happy to pay 500k gbp for a shit hole?
