I've thought about this a lot. Using the Bible as an example, where is the structure for what a "church community" described and laid out? Where does it say "There will be a preacher, and a power structure of the greatest priests. They will preach in churches, gilded with gold and incredible artworks. A depiction of the Christ will hang over the entire scene." You know what that last sentence *really* sounds like? **IDOLATRY.** You know what following the words of a *man* who claims to have a closer connection to God than you sounds like? **HERESY.** Is the word "pope" or "bishop" or anything similar even used in the Bible? Did Jesus lay out this plan for how his faith was to be conducted? No, he didn't- his view on spiritualism was very minimalistic, very *personal,* likely influenced mostly by John the Baptists' teachings. Where did John do his thing? In a massive, expensive temple? Nope- he did his thing on the beach. I would argue that he was closer to the divine than a priest in a golden temple standing upon a pulpit with an image of a dead Jesus as a backdrop.
