Depends on the circumstances. There's a narrow set of circumstances where it works out well. You have to understand the resale value, the total cost of ownership, your total annual mileage, and current interest rates if financing. If you're getting a car with shit resale value (like a Nissan), and you drive 12,000 miles a year or less, a lease can be a good thing.
