I'm glad you think that things are simple still. Stay there, it's nicer for sure.
Im left wondering wtf?
In what way? Believing things are simple yields easy life. Seeking further clarification yields understanding that things aren't usually what they seemed to be, and those things are not shallow. This is something that is related often by "respected" minds. Definitely not my original idea, I don't know anything.
But in this particular case, modern v old school diesel, there's a value in old school, and the why isn't simple. I never studied engines, but other things, and I'm sure that if I had studied engines I would not understand the differences between old v new, why things are the way they are now, or even be able to instinctively figure out the new from the old without their paid for programming and required computer system/software/dx BS. it's intentional. None of it is simple, especially when you start asking why.
And really, the why is all that matters. Why are things worse now than they were? Why aren't things better? Easier? Faster? More convenient?
That's the path of thought that isn't so nice.
And it's not just money. They already have as much money as they can possibly use. They print it!
wow. just wow. Its to late for this shit but believe me. older is better. 12 valve forever
