Assuming they even killed him, too eccentric maybe. Zogbots like Gates or Zuck are predictable and easily controllable, they only care about the money and the power. Jobs had a revolutionary streak and was an idealist, maybe they predicted he wouldn't have liked the way they steered his technology compared to the vision he had.

Compare bloodlines. Jobs was useful for getting the world's most effective surveillance infra in place but he was a random, non-cabal, and hard to leash.
