With Justin Castro going full 1984, should we be pushing for Bitcoin as a currency to avoid the freezing of any disagreeables bank accounts?

Why is this a dumb idea?

What road blocks or hurdles would there be?

How can we convince retailers to accept Bitcoin? Is there an easier way for them to integrate for example waiting of transaction conformations?

I am not a god fearing man but I do believe things happen for a reason. I have a strong intuition that this is what needs to happen. I also am dumb. Please tell me why this is dumb.

As long as they only recognize it as legal tender. If more countries start using it as their defacto currency, then they will say they have to regulate it.

Oh I know they’re going to say that. I’m actually a bit excited for that.

By nature of bitcoin it is near impossible to regulate. That’s part of the reason they want to get that digital currency going fast.

I've already moved partly into silver and gold which is shiny:)

The value is clear to all, negotiation is over how much value, not presence or absence of value.

Fuck Trudeau, we should kick his ass out.

Then we should rebuild our army, and take over Cuba, and turn Cuba into our new winter vacation province.

Cuba becomes the Canadian Crimea.

value is too unstable for normal transactions

Starting providing services that you only accept payment for in bitcoin. Refrain from exchanging those payments into fiat, where possible. When enough people do this, you will eventually need to buy service from someone else who takes bitcoin as payment, and you will already have the bitcoin to spend. This kind of organic growth bypasses the institutional and government layers completely. It is not a complete cutover from fiat, but it makes bitcoin that much more uncontrollable

no.

1) bticoin is could already be broken, you'd never know. quantum computer vis sha-256, QC wins. 2) if it's not broken, it's easy to manipulate due to it's limited supply and with large amounts of control from china 3) open ledger 4) it's gay

fuck, that's a good one. QC would instantly have all the keys.

if it's not broken, it's easy to manipulate due to it's limited supply and with large amounts of control from china

This could be done with all currency but I understand China has a lot of power there.

open ledger

Is this not a good thing. If you don't know who any one address is why would this matter. Are you thinking certain address would be doxxed by the grocery store or something?

it's gay

The gayness is intimidating.

Everything about your finical would be visible. It doesn't matter how much you obfuscate the transactions, the money comes for your employer which is a known source. It would allow the government to now track every transaction you make. Hello social credit score.
