Navarre is great, white sandy beaches, great for the family. But Navarre is dry, word to the wise. I was off roading behind a neighborhood just north of Destin, looking for a place to kayak, found a place called Lake Powell. Perfect clear water, white sand no mud, surrounded by pines, filled with wildlife. It's hard to get to, but the most scenic I've found in the panhandle.
