Half a million jews lived in Germany. So, where the fuck did the other 5.5 million come from to make 6 million.
Wrong angle; there were plenty jews in the occupied (liberated) areas. Nearly 3.000.000 jews residing in Poland, were allegedly sent to the camps.
According to census surveys before and after WW2 nowhere near 6.000.000 jews were missing after the war; the ICRC (Red Cross) estimate of ~300.000 deaths is more in tune with these lists..
Displaced jews were obviously counted as exterminated after the war.
Latvia , Estonia , Ukraine , Hungary , Poland , France , Austria , Lithuania , Russia come to mind
According to the World Council of Churches, there were 15 million juden in Europe before WW2, and slightly more in 1945.
