Right here shitposting with you
The weirdest thing about imprisonment is that you don't have the option to go somewhere else. In normal life, you can almost always just walk away from a situation you don't want to be in. It might be a drastic option, maybe even an extremely unpleasant option, but it is always an option.
If you are at an awkward party, you can always excuse yourself and go home early. If you don't like where you work, you can quit. If you hate your family, you can abandon them.
Even if you don't walk away, it is nice knowing that you have the option.
But Prison is having that option taken away from you. You can't leave Prison if you don't like it. You can't go somewhere else. You have to stay there, within arbitrarily defined boundaries of location and space.
The thing is, Prison doesn't exist only in the three dimensions of space. Prison exists in the 4th dimension of time, and you are currently in it. You cannot leave the present, even if you would like to. You are not allowed to go to the future, and no matter how much you miss how good times used to be, you cannot visit the past.
Somebody, something, some force, call it God or the Devil or the Laws of Physics, has put you into a Temporal Prison.
And you are stuck here now, and in five years, you will be stuck there right then.
So stop asking questions about the future, and start thinking about how you're gonna kill the Warden.

Kill the space-time warden that exists inside your mind.
Nice schizopost.

You're the one responding to the distant voices of people you dont know from unseen places propagated through electrical wires and mysterious waves that travel through time and space.
I'm not crazy. You're crazy.
I'm not crazy.
Thats what crazy people always say.
Very insightful... thanks!
PS when you movin' to Texas?
You cannot leave the present, even if you would like to. You are not allowed to go to the future, and no matter how much you miss how good times used to be, you cannot visit the past.
Memory is our ticket to the past, and hope our visa to the future. No one can take them away from us.

Too bad you got Alzheimer's fag. The future will be coming for you soon.
Damnit, man...
So where is he now? Let's go get that motherfucker.
FEMA camp.
Optimistic about the USA's economic future I see.
Dead, probably
Financially independent - We're on an earning trajectory that should get us to a place where we have no CC debt, an emergency fund, and money for vacations. It's been a long road but we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Edit: This might come off as a bit of a humblebrag, if that's how you read it - i'm okay with that...
Reasonable, concrete projections. It's good to hear about members getting things in order and agile.
Well, after the mass vax die-off and the ensuing collapse of the economy, and later, the rest of society, I expect I'll be mainly focused on food, security, and medicine. In that order.
feeling 10 years older
Dead, probably.
How would die?
you wanna supply a subject of that sentence pal?
Fuck you I'm moving to Oklahoma
Let's just say it's going to be incredible.
Replacing the washing machine I just bought with a 5 year warranty
Speed Queen commercial products, they're the buy-it-for-life option... going 7 years now and they ain't stoppin'
I might do that. I saw a coin-op Speed Queen for sale locally. Might take this unit back. It don't spin right
Dated a girl once that I nicknamed Speed Queen. That's probably my hang-up. I don't need therapy
If you go with Speed Queen commercial you have to go through a distributor, no big deal in my experience. Ideally if buying new you want the non-coin-op ones meant for small apartment complexes (just have basic controls).
Somewhere along the line of doing a masters and working at the same time my sense of “space work time” got scrambled and I can’t properly tell how much time-effort it’ll take me to do something.
I know that once I start something it’ll be very quick and efficient, but I won’t have a sense how much effort per time I did. It’ll just feel like it cranked off the charts and I won’t be able to read the meter anymore.
So all I know are my goals, which are to move and end the renovation. I know they’ll happen asap, but when dunno.
My assumption - move within a year, probably out of the US because. I was already out, came back for a short period, stayed because of Trump. Was going to stay for a civil war if it happened after he was rigged out of his second election. Hasn’t happened.
5 years? Who knows. Owning a company? Getting a PhD? Lot of big factions on all levels of life trying to be severe enemies at the moment. Cleaning up the bombshell they did right now and still 1 year into it.
I see myself in five years probably where I am right now, but a little older, a little slower, a little weaker, and a lot richer. Or dead, whichever comes first.
