The Psalm is comforting, for sure.
I'm just coming to terms with the fact that the world is covered in evil at the moment. I'm trying to see what's true and what I can rely on. Knowing what is true is important to me. Not because I want to leverage power, but just to know.
Not against Christianity at all, though relying on Jesus/God to fix everything won't help you in the immediate term. You're best off trying to forge your way through this, rather than leaving it to something supernatural to do it for you.
As a practical person, I appreciate your sentiment. I have a feeling that decisions will have to be made soon that will require a deep, trusting faith in God. I think it’s vital to secure one’s principals. My understanding of Good and Evil has changed radically and I’m trying to figure it out.
I don't have anything against those who will use prayer as a form of guidance to mull things over for themselves, and I also think that ethics and morals are an extremely high priority, which adhering to a religion can help foster. In the end though, it's really up to our own grit to do what needs to be done, regardless of religious leanings or lack thereof.
I completely understand that view as I think that is true for most.
Knowing the truth is important as a Christian as Jesus doesn't hide behind lies. What makes the truth dangerous is that the higher truths are only for the bravest and most courageous ones (notice how I avoided the word "Fearless"). What you refer to as "Redpills" are tiny douses of the truth that are meant to be slowly spoon-fed with time to digest and think about for good reason. It is very easy to overdose on the truth as it is addicting and dangerous in high amounts. Higher truths are red mountains compared to red pills and aren't easy to swallow and can cause massive pain if you don't have good faith.
As for leveraging power, I think most say they would never do it, but it's important to understand that absolute power corrupts absolutely, and sometimes even just handing off the power or receiving it is destructive itself. I say save the power for God and let him handle the things that would require using it. Pray to him when you need his blessings as you will receive them.
So true. Thank you. In a certain light, Evil being real and dominant in the world isn’t a huge surprise. The organization of it might be, but this world is pretty well suited to it taking root?? I don’t know. God bless
