IQ is the strongest indicator of future success. But your statement also assumes a level playing field. Which absolutely is not the case. In this case, non-whites are given special, preferential treatment over much more qualified and more intelligent people. AA ensures they remain employed. Because they are AA tokens, they generally get higher pay rates to keep them and virtue signal they are good to their pets.
