Eh, no. We average in all "African Americans." Only a tiny percentage of Nigerians make it here. There is no comparison.

We absolutely can compare. There are enough Nigerians that have immigrated here to make a viable comparison.

Nigerians aren't running into the same "oppressive roadblocks" that their African American counterparts are. They make up less than one percent on all blacks but account for 25% of the advanced degrees.
