Eggs are precious. Women waste them while cackling. They largely do this because losing/wasting these eggs is often painful. In a just would, for humanity, every lost egg carries some consequence. Whether it's some pain she elects to carry or neglect, it's hers. If she neglects it, she should never expect anyone to respect her for neglecting/fighting through the pain that came with losing that egg. That's life. That's her life. Seeds are different.
