Wasn't it a half billion or billion dollars, he got to keep the show going, invest in crypto(i assume) and its backed up on multiple big tech sources with huge public reach, they also gave him total freedom to do it how he wants, just like before, censoring it after the fact is the host's problem but this host paid for a podcast they are now censoring, it's like keying your own car in front of the auditor before filing a claim. Im not saying rogan is a genius but he clearly saw there were no real downsides for him. Just because you take money and get a good contract doesn't mean you sold out or sold your soul. That said he is fucking deluded about the nature of our society and where it is heading.
