I live in a very blue area where 90% are vaxxed. I've had the same dentist for 20 years. I like him because he is an old guy who doesn't push for unneeded xrays or procedures. Last time I had an exam and cleaning six months ago, he asked if I was vaxxed. I lied and said yes because I understand his paranoia about touching people's mouths all day. He sent me a reminder of my next appointment saying that all patients must be vaxxed. How do I find another dentist who doesn't care about vax and doesn't push for unneeded procedures (as some of them do)?

Just call them and ask if they're accepting new patients, and if they require the injections. If they say yes, politely tell them that you refuse to use their services for that reason, and call the next dentist in the book.

Also tell your current dentist that same reason.

I don't know. I live in a "red" state and they take my damn temp every time.

Strange enough, I'm calling around looking for a new dentist, and so far, not a one has made any demands about COVID tests or clotshots. Strange as a shitload of businesses have such signs on the door.

Why did you lie? Jut say no, now he won't know the reason he lost you as a patient.

As far as finding another they have this thing called a "phone number", you "call" them and ask.

I lied because he is in his 70's and is afraid he will die if he gets it. I didn't want him to rush to get me out of the chair ASAP. Calling an office doesn't tell me if they are a dentist who tries to upsell on a lot of unnecessary work because he has a boat payment.

If you're in Southern California I can recommend a dentist who hasn't said fucking boo about Covid the whole time, and he has thousands of 5-star reviews.

Don't dox yourself, but maybe if you post the general part of the country you are in someone can offer recommendations. I have seen several dentists in the past few years, none who have asked about vax status.
