We do all our calculations base 10. Your argument is like the reasoning behind 360 degrees - ease of finding DIVISORS. That is such a weird, archaic requirement (like rationalizing denominators).
We do arithmetic in base 10. Yes, it is possible to use most any base, but you aren't going to change the entire world. I don't care if machine language uses binary or Gaussian integers; humans use base 10.
Humans haven't always used base10. Sumerians used base12. Mayans used base20.
