You don't memorize it that way. You just know that there are 5280 feet in a mile and 12 inches to a foot. Boom! 1/7 x 5280 x 12.

0.23km * 10,000 to find out how many cm in the same distance?

You’re telling me that you can figure out 1/7x5280x12 as fast as you can figure out 0.23x10,000? I can figure out the latter faster than you can type the former into a calculator. It’s definitely harder
