You mean faster, not harder. I've not found a situation where speed of calculation was of any consequence.
Even if the US switched to metric you would have to convert every single day because everything is currently built to US measurements. Your ceiling isn't 8 feet or 96 inches tall, now it's 243.8mm. You're gonna need some 3.8cm x 8.9cm boards cut to 236.2 cm for studs. That drywall you're replacing, it's gonna need to be 95.25mm thick and measure 243.8cm x 121.9cm. While you're at it, try to find some 6.35cm pipe to replace your laundry drain.

And if you don’t have a calculator handy? Of course it’s harder. It’s faster because it’s easier. Just like it’s faster to build a birdhouse than it is to build a real house. They require the same basic knowledge set, but obviously one is harder. You’re being intentionally obtuse
