For the others reading, Snidely was a BANKER so there is that part of the cartoon that is unsaid but we see today what bankers are all about. The show was a warning that the bankers are the evil criminals and will break all laws and do whatever they desire even killing beautiful young women on a whim if they do not marry the evil banker and kill anyone including a RCMP officer if they try to stop them. They did show woke shit in cartoon back then but with the meaning disguised so they could keep producing the shows.
^ what he said! I was too dense to notice and was happy pouring sugar on my Cheerios because it tasted like cardboard. And smacking the tv because the reception was fuzzy.
I had to constantly tweak the folded book of matches my father wedged behind the channel changer dial to get the tv from scrolling since back then the vertical sync was fucked totally on most cheap tv's.
