So I had the Vid last week, bad cold whooptydooo. Last couple days I could feel my sinuses getting funky with a slight headache. Today it's a full blown sinus infection with a debilitating headache, I can't even think straight it's so painful. So I get a prescription for antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory steroid. It's transferred electronically. I drive 15min to the pharmacy and they say it's going to be another 45min.

How long does it take to put some pills from a large bottle into a small bottle and print a label? Seriously. WTF!?

Edit: Wow. Those steroids are fucking amazing. No more pressure, no more incapacitating pain. Fuck yes. That pain was my body fucking itself up. No need for that.

Have you seen how many drugs people take these days? They literally cant keep up at the pharmacy, they fill shit nonstop from open to close. Its insane to watch.

Also fuck antibiotics and steroids. Deal with it. Get a humidifier, take some otc garbage if you must. Antibiotics & steroids are over prescribed, doctors just paint by numbers.

Avoiding antibiotics for a sinus infection can lead to brain abscess quite easily. Personal use of antibiotics isn't creating treatment resistant bacteria, it's animal agriculture putting them in the feed so they don't have to treat infected sores from living in close quarters.

Thank you. Some medicines are indeed beneficial when used correctly.

Plus it makes the animals pack on weight faster for some reason.

This infection is acute. I definitely want them. I'm in agony. Last time I had antibiotics was like 8 years ago or so.

Do you blow your nose alot? I ask because when you blow your nose you blow the snot into your sinuses. Suck that stuff in, spit it out or swallow it. Try to inhale like yours snoring or hockin a loogie, pull the junk out of the sinuses.

Huh. Yeah I suppose I do blow my nose somewhat frequently. Thanks for the tip.

Antibiotics are extremely dangerous to use and should only be used in the most extreme situations.

"Doctors" is a pretty loose term and why they now refer to them as "Providers". An actual doctor requires about 10 years of education/training, so they came up with a new type of "doctor" called a mid-level, which is a 6 year degree. Mid-levels are almost exclusively what you see at walk-in clinics and a majority of other visits to a health clinic. Here's how mid-levels work, they have you describe your problem and then they go to a website, type in your problem, and the website tells them exactly what to do and what medication to prescribe. Without that website they are dead in the water as they don't have the training to properly diagnose and prescribe medication, only an actual doctor has that ability. You'd have to be smooth brained to think that the websites those mid-levels go to aren't heavily funded by big pharma, who have basically created a simple way to push their drugs without the bother of having actual doctors get in their way.

So antibiotics were prescribed to OP because a website funded by the people who make antibiotics prescribed OP antibiotics. You'd be much better off scouring the Internet and finding people who suffer the same symptoms and learn what cures worked for them and then experiment with those cures. Save you money, time and suffering.

Dude. I'm all for anti-mainstream health options. I only go to the doctor™ if something is seriously wrong and I need immediate remedies. Like today.
