Would you consider your uncles and cousins as good references for your own character? Personally, I sure wouldn't. Worst I've heard about JFK is that he was a consummate philanderer. That he would have sex every day, and only sometimes that was with his wife. But, what does it matter on my character and views if my uncle was a hound dog? Not much, IMHO.
