Back in the day in Ultima Online we'd have scheduled downtime for maintenance. Anything done 30-60 minutes prior to the downtime would not get saved. Back then it was a full loot pvp mmo. Players would bring their best weapons and armor, the stuff you'd never use normally due to how rare and expensive it is, and they'd have a free for all in the graveyard. Good times.
