Don't know, all I recall is people jailed for involvement with "terrorism" in some flavor or another.
That and both those platforms, telegram, and signal, have been repeatedly compromised.
Element I would go with because it is actually based on some sort of encryption standard. Gab looks like a decent alternative, but its pretty weird how they haven't been shut down despite their size.
They were shut down, then they setup their own servers and direct internet connection.
How are they paying for it?
Where is the money coming from?
I can hardly imagine merch sales and crypto donations would be sufficient to run a site that size.
And they actually got the u.s. and banks to agree to allow them to create GabPay?
Nah. Something smells way off about Gab.
I'm not saying don't use it. I am saying don't be surprised if it turns out the purpose of the site is rotten.
