Not everyone should be able to vote, and certainly not those who have entered the country illegally; regardless of their 'amnesty' or 'dreamer' status. I'd go a step farther and say that if you're a first generation immigrant - legal or otherwise - your job is to shut up, observe, learn and then teach your children about the nature of a representative government in your host society. First generation immigrants should have no right to vote, but their children should. In the twenty-first century, those who are illiterate should not be allowed to vote. Those who are functionally retarded, i.e. IQ's under 85, should not be allowed to vote. Those who do not participate in society sufficient to have a State ID or driver's license should not be allowed to vote. The Republic was a noble and precious experiment that we turned into a cheap whore because we were guilted into debasing it and rendering the obligations of citizenship worthless. Those who are too unintelligent, too uneducated, incompetent, or foreign might have feelings, might have perspectives, but they do not have the cognitive complexity, the nationalistic perspective, the sense of ownership, duty and heritage necessary to act as Shepard of the European tradition.
