Lots of smoke here. Baldor was Wodens son. Turns out the punics worshipped a God they called baal addir whom they often called baldir. He was a God of fertility and the underworld (i.e. he dies in winter, goes to the underworld and is resurrected in spring. Greek cognate of this myth is persephone). This myth still existed in Norse to an extent, where loki killed Baldor with a mistletoe, an evergreen.

Apparently something like 1/3 of germanic runes are identical to the carthaginian alphabet.

Germanic languages differ from other Indo-European languages in that consonant shifts occurred in germanic that occurred in no other indo European languages. These consonant shifts are similar to punic languages.

Apparently a lot of the germanic words for ships, sailing the ocean or boats are very similar to punic words.

The old germanic religions had a habit of sacrificing animals on long poals, (known as asherah poals in the bible).

The title woden is very similar Adoni, a Hebrew word for lord, that is commonly applied to the God of the Bible. And the punics and Hebrews spoke different dialects of the same language.

Well, history and genetic studies show that Germanic people are Indo-Aryans/ Scythian while "Punics" ie Cartheginians ie Pheonicians ie Jews are semitic.

So that's a hard No.

Genetically germanics are certainly different. So probable cultural infusion at some point is what I'm thinking also.

Jews are Arabs. Semites are of Shim. Evidence overwhelming suggests they are not related or only related through the likes of the Canaanites and Edomites and so on...

Jews are broken into two groups. Arabs and Turkish. The Turkish version are the Ashkenazi. Neither group appears to be related to the Hebrews. Though if there is a relationship through the Arabs (means Mixed - mixed of what?), it can only be the Arab version.

I don't know much about this subject, but it seems like you answered your own question there, dude.

Let me summarize

jews: "we wuz viking n sheeeeit!"

Let's not get carried away here big fella. No one believes the germanics were jews. Israelites tried to genocide the punics as recorded in Joshua after all.

Besides genetic evidence seems to point to germanics being subjugated for a time by the punics rather than direct ancestors, since germanic male linage is almost all R1 or I. Neither of these are common to ppl of the Levant or North Africa.

Damn you and your well-informed replies!

Yeah mostly I've just been trying to figure out why my anscestors worshipped an obvious levantine transplant in Baldor for a long time as well as why their chief God was different in title from the rest of the aryans.

Think I figured it out and wanted to share it.

Makes sense. Carthage was into child sacrifice as were the Germanic tribes.

Never once have I read that germanics sacrificed kids.

All the Celtic and Germanic priest classes sacrificed virgins and children. Common practice in the derivatives of the druidic religions. It's not a secret.

All pagan religions that commune with demonic powers end up doing the same at some point or another.

Given enough time, everything degenerates. Look at modern religion. Look at the ancient religion of the israelites.
