Those "actors" are tested aggressively. And they still have a problem with AIDS although it doesn't get written about/spoken of. Most prostitutes are women. It's quite difficult for a woman to give a man AIDS. My guess is that a lot of female prostitutes do in fact end up with AIDS though maybe not as many as one would expect since the johns are probably not gay/bi.
