Neither have anything to do with me, but I have heard this twice in the last couple days from old folks. They are afraid of losing Social Security and it seems like this is the point at which they'll cave. I assume about two-thirds of Poal is on Social Security, what do you think?

I'm assuming they are claiming that being unemployed, or sick is voluntary. Because that fits the narrative.

I'm assuming American social security is comparable to the canadian OAS. And you just get it for existing past a certain age?

Yep 65. But it's been paying out more than it takes in so younger people like me assume it'll collapse before I see a dime of it.
