I can hardly believe I found it. This information could well be out of date, but it was interesting to consider the possibility an AI could trick mankind in this way. Worth the 10 minutes even if its dead wrong IMO.

Wow. Sorry, but that was really bad... one guy couldn't find a bug in bitcoin, so it must have been created by AI? That's a bit of a stretch. And the motivation? AI wants a massive super computer infrastructure, so it developed bitcoin so humans would build its infrastructure. Unfortunately, the bitcoin compute power is very specialized for mining bitcoin. It wouldn't do AI much good.
