Long ago I read an article that pointed out that minimum wage should be tied to inflation but neither party would do that. Dems want their voters to believe they are "fighting for the poor" and Repubs want their voters to believe they are "fighting inflation". They would both lose that rallying cry if minimum wage was adjusted for inflation.
Biggest expense is Labour. Jack up your wage Jack's up wages for the hundreds of ppl you depend upon.
That's a feedback loop.
A minimum wage of any sort is idiotic. It creates a baseline cost to shoot for. It devalues personal skill and ability. It restricts payscale options and only ever guarantees the taxman moneys
