You are assuming I work with complete morons. While complete morons exist, these are only minor morons.
Hi Poal.
You may know a bit about my saga at work. A while ago I wrote about masks becoming mandatory at work again and how I was planning to get fired. I stood my ground and they have never raised the issue with me. I did write about how I'm sort of the golden person at work, which many took offense to me describing myself that way, but independent of how I want to describe myself it really is the situation, and is relevant to how these things are playing out at work. Because I was able to not wear a mask, without being confronted, and all other workers were required to, after a few days of that people started building up the confidence to follow my lead. Basically because one person stood up their policy has been turned to smithereens.
But only nearly though. A couple of days ago one of our more covidiot manager went on a rant yelling at a coworker for not wearing a mask calling him irresponsible. Part of me wants to put an end to this stupidity. Particularly his stupidity. I'm tired of ignorant, angry, scared morons. For this reason there is a task I've created for myself. I'll likely not actively use what I want to create, but I want it on hand should I ever need it. The ultimate education pack for mask idiots whose only knowledge is watching the news.
Here is my task, mainly for myself to do, but if you wish to help me get a head start I'd appreciate it. I want to create a print out of every notable study on masks, determine if they are pro-mask or anti-mask and then color code them according to the hierarchy of scientific sources of evidence. That last part is definitely mine to do, and I am more than willing to find the pro-mask studies myself as well. But I figure a few of you might know the most hard hitting anti-mask studies to consider.
They sort of see me as an overly smart person for my job, and I would love to live up to that image, wherein if they ever do have to confront me about masks, that per my image I immediately drop a stack of studies on them.
I also don't want my coworkers to continue being yelled at by angry ignorant people who wear security blankets on their face, and I certainly don't appreciate what standing my ground has done to my reputation when it otherwise has been perfect and I'd rather that be rectified and have them recognize my reasonability.
Help me build this stack of papers. Give my an initial set of studies (I'll expand it afterward). Our company is expanding and so if I can successfully push this company in a direction, it means maskless jobs you can all go to if you have no other options. Their company is culturally aligned with being the kind of outlier that would be maskless, but covid has made even companies with otherwise great cultures lapse on their strengths for the sake of appeasement of stupidity. I just need the tools to push this company to the other side of the crest.
I'm going to get this done anyway, but you are welcome to participate.
