Media projected identities are ones that have been approved by the corporate totalitarian state.

They don't want you having personalities where people believe in being frugal.

There are two things that Hollywood and mainstream media are no longer allowed to teach you about.

The first is that they will no longer give you movies that show you how to take political power in any kind of realistic way.

The second is that they do not want you maintaining generational wealth.

For these reasons, alone (but also along with other reasons), your "corporate approved identity" will always have some kind of mental health issue, must be excited about new products, must be more susceptible to marketing and propaganda and, as a result, your corporate overlords will, as a monopolistic interest, work to shift everything about human identity towards better participate in "voodoo economics."

So, when you see "nerds" portrayed on TV, you see people with no real understanding of science projecting identities that promote buying useless products which, in turn, teaches actual nerds to like pointless things and be experts in useless branches of knowledge.

TV and move tropes. It was an easily identifiable way to label the "nerd," like the cheap wayfarer glasses with tape on the bridge.

You see how much more attractive that jeopardy host girl from Big Bang is when they fix her up?

She's jewish right?

I have no idea. It's probably been 30 years since I've seen Jeopardy, and I only know what the latter is because I've heard people talk about it.

But surely there's something to it?

Thanks for your answer.

I don't think there is anything to it, it's just one of those "common knowledge" things like dogs chase cats and mice like cheese and stuff.

The classic Geek/Nerd tope has to do with Escapism, because the view is that the Nerds life is so pathetic and repugnant that he can't simply go out and have a good time with a girl, or chat with his friends, he must delve into a world that is completely and utterly non-existent as that is his best possible alternative to dealing with a harsh reality that does not appreciate his faggoty existence.

This is why the nerd does not read historical fiction, he reads fantasy. This is why he doesn't necessarily keep up on developments in physics and space travel, but always knows what planet the new Star Wars movie takes place on.

This nerd has no hope in this reality.

>because the view is that the Nerds life is so pathetic and repugnant

Thanks, and what do you think about this idea, above? You're saying, this is the way they want it portrayed?

I think people nerd out on different stuff. Each of these sorts of nerds definitely exist. Thus they are portrayed.

Because many nerds and geeks are autists and thus more predilected to being immature.

That's probably the correct answer.

I think it's the other way around. If a grown adult shows an interest in superhero movies, comic books, etc, most people tend to consider them a need or geek.

Is the stereotype true, is it made up?

If it's true are they just trying to be cool, have an identify?

Is it a self fulfilling thing?

Are they faking it? A lot of so called hippies back in the day were just faking it you feel me?
