Eating vegetable oil doesn’t mean you have a “plant based diet”.
There's tons of controlled clinical trials showing that a diet rich in protein and animal fat is far healthier than a plant-based diet.

The vegetable oils is a separate issue from a plant-based diet. Eating too much fruit, vegetables, and grains is pretty horrible for your health.
