"COVID" is a cultural phenomenon of the western world. A mania not unlike the dancing sickness of centuries long past. Unfortunately for us, COVID and the hysteria surrounding it are the latest symptoms of societal problems that have plagued the western world for a century or more. There is no going back to 2019. I don't think people realize just how profoundly our society ruptured in 2020. The only viable path is to create something entirely new. Right now, and moving forward, we will experience a struggle between leftism and the reactionary right wing for who determines what that new society will look like. Regardless of who wins, we will all be less free and less prosperous on the other side. The road to that destination is also very likely to be extremely bloody and most will not come through unscathed. The only thing you as a Joe nobody can do is to prepare yourself as best you can physically, emotionally, and financially for what is to come. Build your family and do whatever is within your means and life circumstances to separate yourself from the poisonous "modern" society that currently dominates the western world.
Covid will end this Friday if the court does what it is supposed to do.

For me, both are fine, but no force allowed, heavy regulation for harms, and severe criminal penalties for fraud.

Omicron takes about a month to saturate a population. So... assuming nothing else happens after that, we should be all good by end of Feb/March. But yes, I think you are right in that the spin will be about the vaccines. Money. Always money.
Maybe even faster, the numbers double every 2-3 days. Of course they could release another variant to continue the medical emergency, but it is also possible that they release Omicron because they have other plans.
It's not money, they already have it all. Same with power. Now they want to become immortal by optimizing their DNA, and they need a lot of medical research and billions of human lab rats to advance the technology.

It’s because people stopped taking the boosters and teens wouldn’t take the shot. They want to control the narrative out and not make it like it was because you were rebelling.

It ends in about two month, or never. The omicron variant may be the ticket out of here. And our response to it may be our ticket out of here (in terms of non-compliance). It's over when the omicron "spike" clears up or never.
