I have noticed that links from Gettr are banned on Poal. I have a sub for posts from Gettr and can't post links anymore. Is something wrong about posting links from Gettr that I don't know?

I have noticed that links from Gettr are banned on Poal. I have a sub /s/MeanwhileOnGettr for posts from Gettr and can't post links anymore. Is something wrong about posting links from Gettr that I don't know?

No reason noted, but not surprising as no banned domain receives a reason for their ban on the site log.

However, that happened at the same time gnews was banned. Immediately prior to them being banned, a user was banned with the noted reason being that they were spamming 2 domains and ignored warnings to stop.

...the reason is that domain was spammed frequently by a now banned spammer.

  • One person spammed links for only those two domains.
  • Presumably the warnings they received were to stop spamming only those domains or be banned.
  • The person ignored the warnings and was banned.
  • *It would seem that those domains also being banned so nobody can post links to them was unrelated to those sites specifically or their content and just that they happened to be the domains spammed by this banned individual...

Of course I am joking, but listen, if I was a niggah that wanted a domain banned, what would stop me from reaching my goal by creating a few alts and then spam a domain?

Sounds like some cunt was shilling just those two sites to drive traffic over there and got itself and the sites banned.

Maybe can remove the domain ban if no one is shilling for them?

Gettr has been mainly used by spammers as a links shortener to redirect to banned spam domains. I don’t have time to check every post linking to that domain.

It’s Gettr’s responsibility to make sure their platform isn’t used to spam other places.

Who needs GETTR anyway?? Have you looked at their TOS?
