Of course, thinking about it, seems like the hypersonics were developed directly in response to the u.s. encircling russia.

Ukraine is not a doorstep. It is a house that has unwelcomed permanent destructive guests. Yes, the damn dems will try to provoke something and then roll out the Russia Russia Russia crap to use against R party and to extract more money from Congress off of military spending. Xiden and the dems have lots of Ukraine intere$t$ to "protect" and want to figure out a way to pass spending bills.
