That's not the way "plural marriage" generally works. There's a head wife and those of lesser rank. Those saying they'd not want the trouble...you train the head wife to keep the others in line.
I'm not pro or against though I generally don't see a problem with it if it's working for those involved. I'm just saying that people have a misconception as to how it generally works.
You can stack as many wives as you want. But none of the extra women will be able to provide the time and attention a father needs to provide so that both his sons & daughters grow up to be solid adults.
The results (meaning the children) of the plural marriages I've been exposed to are solid. Now, there's a lot else going on in those familes too so whose to say one couldn't get similar results from a "tradtional marriage" too but ... percentage-wise ... my observation is that the plural marriage seems to be working out for those kids.
