As far as what can we do? I have no clue. Nothing. Nothing can be done. I say, and have been saying, let the fuckers burn it all down and when they've all been murdered or starved to death, the useful survivors can rebuild. I'm also a fan of Atlas Shrugged, so one can imagine where I got this idea.

One thing I can do, for sure, is admit that I don't know what to do about it all. I don't pretend to have answers. I don't berate others for not having answers(so long as they don't pretend that they do.) I don't ridiculously call every person who disagrees with me a fed, shill, jew, or glowie. I don't use emotion to manipulate people.

They've been lied to and fucked with so much, man. You're just going to let everyone die and not care about them? If this is a question of compassion or none, I think I'd rather have a little and try to help where possible, even if it looks as futile as trying to wake them up from their deep sleep. I think that's far more valuable than just giving up and throwing a tantrum in solitude. At least you have the balls to admit you don't have a finer solution. I just wish more people were like you and realized they aren't as resourceful as they want to think they are and that other people are more capable than they are sometimes. Me, I have no trouble admitting some people are better than me at plenty of things. If those people appear to have a plan of some kind, why not try to do what I can to strengthen a cause we all know is imperative? This is more about hedging a bet than it is knowing I'm right. For me, this is about acknowledging the kind of world I'd want to live in and putting my chips with the side that I think is the most likely to succeed. Now, is some amorphous group purporting to save the world by talking about things that make the corporate media flail around and shout obscenities and call them all crazy and terrorists so law enforcement might do something to stop them the best place to store my chips? I don't fucking know. What I do know, however, is that people who give up and say, "well, I don't have a plan, but yours is dumb" should probably be ignored.
