I have a small wood insert in an old stone fireplace. I typically brush it out once a year but I plan on using it quite a bit more frequently now that my kids are getting older. I'm burning bone-dry, standing dead western larch and Douglas-fir. How frequently do you guys brush?

Every year, the guys that deliver my wood do it for a couple bucks as part of the service.
