Does anyone have any proof of the actual letters that were supposedly sent to farmers? Are farmers still receiving such letters? Did this get memory-holed or was it all just a hoax (I know what my thought on this is)?

It's some kind of bullshit -- several of the guys at our VFW mentioned this back when the story started. They have farms (we live in a very rural area with all farms).
