I began preparing for the future in 1984 when I saw my first mobile phone and vowed that I would never own one of those things, and I never have. I saw the future in a flash, pre internet, pre social media; the government propaganda and tracking foot in the door was going to be thru that device. And that was when it was tethered with a curly cord to a back pack. It seemed like it would be addictive, even back then.
