The enjoyment of different genres of music is subjective. Some people would say just the opposite of what you have. Neither of you are wrong for finding one genre more enjoyable than the other- opinions aren't right or wrong. I'm just saying that both were pozzed in order to steer society towards a (((goal))) and both have been effective towards that end. I try to avoid all music that has lyrics since it's hard to corrupt someone with just instrumental music.

The very first stringed instrument was called a “Lyre”. I sound that word out and can’t help but think that they knew how effective music was at influencing thought from day #1.

But I’m known to have a crazy idea or two.

I still love music. It’s PATTERNS in sound like architecture is patterns in stone and painting is patterns in color. Pattern comes from the Latin “pater” for father.

Perhaps we find patterns so compelling because they remind us in some way of our relationship with the ultimate? And maybe each new beautiful pattern we find is one more “Easter Egg” in our cosmic game of hide and seek?

All Life is Worthy.

Interesting thought. Perhaps that's why some fundamentalist religions believe that music is the creation of the devil. I'll add this to my list of down the rabbit hole topics to research on.

If you come to any conclusions feel free to take a moment and share as I’m usually willing to consider most perspectives.

God approved of music with the Hebrews, it was part of their worship, and it was legit music.

I like patterns. Your comments are interesting and thought provoking.
