On what grounds? Does your state require an employer to keep you employed even when they don't want you or no longer need your services? Most states allow employers to let people go at will for any reason or no reason. The only reasons that are illegal are your race/ethnicity, your sex, religion, pregnancy, gender "identity", sexual orientation, age if you're over 40, or national origin. Everything else is perfectly legal.

There is no law against that. You are imagining that anything you feel unfair is against the law. That's not how it works. I wish you well, but you're not going to prevail.

I agree....lawyer up! Only a lawyer knows how to circumvent laws (or non-laws), what actions are likely sueable, and so on.
