If you want my advice, I'd say follow your instincts. If a book interests you, start reading it. If you don't enjoy what you are reading, stop. If you enjoy the book, take note of the author's name and try other books by the same author. Seasoned readers go by authors, not by book topics. For example, you don't just read *For Whom the Bell Tolls*, you read Hemingway. If your into science fiction, you don't just read *Starship Troopers*, you read Heinlein. Every now and then, expand your horizons by reading a famous classic. Apply the same procedure -- start it, and if it bores you, stop; if you enjoy it, keep going. It ain't rocket science, gents ... unless, of course, you are reading about rocket science.
