A while back, Voat users provided a series of Windows install files and programs to remove all of the telemetry and related services from Windows 7. This suite was called Aegis.

Non-enterprise Windows 10 is blatant spyware. Has there been any attempt to create an Aegis for 10? Or is the software that deep in globohomo cuckery that there's no point to it?

When my Windows 7 machine inevitably dies, it would be nice to not have to learn Linux. But if there's no other choice, oh well, I'll man up.

I went through a lot of how-to's to braindead my Win10, but it all gets undone after updates apparently. I got fed up redoing stuff and finally decided that I have to beat it into submission to use it, it's not actually useful.

Fuck spending more time trying to braindead windows just to use it. Take the advice in this thread and try out Mint. It really is the best gateway for coming off of windows.
