Liquor is cheaper by the ounce and is multipurpose. Trash pickup and water are much bigger concerns if you live anywhere near a city.
You need at least 70% alcohol. It’s cheaper just to buy bottles from any store for .99 cents and store that.
If it is a SHTF no authority is going to get you for distilling 100 proof vodka to 140 proof vodka and if it SHTF you should have a still for water sanitation or desalination.
The op recommended hard liquor, never mentioned a still. There’s been so many people who think normal vodka or alcohol kills germs.
It also doesn’t kill all germs might want to stock up on hydrogen peroxide and pool shocker.
Yeah, he recommends hard liquor. Whiskey, vodka, moonshine-type stuff. *edit: digging holes for trash/poop, and water-cleaning pellets/filtration/boiling,etc.
