Atlantis was real but it refers to a time and people and not an actual place or city.
13000 years ago something caused the earth to enter a prolonged cooling period known as the Younger Dryas ice age. This sudden climate shift caused a widespread global extinction event that is well documented in both Flora and Fauna of the time. It is my belief that humanity at this point was reset back to the stone age from a more advanced global trade society. This lost human history was extensively documented on the exterior of the Great Pyramids of Giza until an earthquake in 1303 dislodged the casing stones that held the inscriptions. These stones can still be found in the foundations of buildings spread across Cairo and some have been identified as having been used by Ottoman Moslems in 1570 to build the Masjid al-Haram Mosque in Mecca.
That guy does a good job of summarizing the Richot Circles but he fails to mention any dates.
My understanding of the geology at Rechot and the timeline of that geological feature is that Isostatic movement of the land mass of West Africa occurred on a time table of around a million years not 10,000-15,000 years making the correlation unlikely.

Roughly 11,800 years ago, which precisely aligns. Cataclysm was roughly 12,000 years ago. Which also correlates to various stellar alignment and geologic wear on things like the pyramids and other lost civilizations of roughly 13,000 years.
In a nutshell, this is an amazingly strong correlation. Significant archeological conjecture is established upon much weaker positions.

The first hand accounts from Napoleon and Alexander the Great are the best original sources that exist discussing the engravings and I have also seen translations form Feudal Japan that discuss them as well.
Reading Egyptian hieroglyphics was an extinct art until the discovery of the Rosetta Stone in 1799 which was long after earthquake and the filthy hordes of Moslems had pillaged the site. As a result there is literally no record of what the full capstones said. The knowledge is gone forever.
