I agree with you both. I think the political and leadership differences as well as how Americans are softer and more liberal minded in general apply too. The people and the governments don't see eye to eye so it can cause dramatic situations. Also Putin is far smarter than any US president has been since he took power so no personal respect from him for them. Maybe for Trump because he largely was cooperative with Putin.

Let's see: They reject Globohomo, they're anti-immigration, limit the power of (((journalism))) and have declared that Orthodox Christianity is a central component as part of their nation's culture.

Other than imposing and interfering with nations which have large populaces of ethnic Russians, I have yet to see why Russia is "bad".

Russia's problem is that it only allies herself with commies and in this includes arms sales, money laundering and drug trafficking, and has a historically bad relationship with other Christians. But they are reasonably wise about keeping their country more or less anchored in the Christian faith. I also think the Russian people are rude to their own people, some in total misery, while oligarchs (most of these Jews) live in luxury, drugs and prostitution. I think Putin is overrated, he couldn't even stop the lockdown.
