Motherhood is for women not because it's a punishment, but because it's very important and only women are suited for it. I would think about your role the same way. How close to motherhood do you want it to be, and what are you the best at, what are you well suited for?

The key is to be happy with whichever circumstance you find yourself in; single or relationship. I'd say stop actively dating for now. And if someone comes along that really clicks with you then you're not too jilted by the current dating scene and can give it an honest try.
