Jews in media and movies over the decades have successfully turned faith in the scriptures into a social stigma.
In theory every Christian, Muslim, and Jew is waiting for the literal son of god to come to earth and rule as immortal king. Divine right to rule is pretty much the default government throughout history. So it's not a stretch for wannabe tyrants to try to will that kind of thing back into existence.
Having a king is the best form of government.
A king is only as great as his kingdom. The more his people flourish the richer and more powerful he becomes.
Congress robs from Americans. A king would be direct representation in exchange for taxation.
